Wilmer D. Malcom, 83, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Sioux City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the Community of Christ Church, 3232 Transit Ave., Sioux City, IA with Priest Joel Pistello officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, NE. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., with the family present at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE.
Wilmer was born to Orville and Francis (Steele) Malcom in Allen, NE on December 10, 1933. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1952 and attended Nazarene College in Bethany, OK. Wilmer served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958. In September of 1954 he married Gertrude "Trudi" Buck. They have 4 children, Dawn (Tom) Durgin of Burlington, IA, Steve (Ronda) Malcom of Dakota City, NE, Cheryl (Chuck) Ellis of Des Moines, IA and Lori (Tim) Beckman of Brandon, SD.
