Steven N. Swanson, age 65 of Prairie City, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church. Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 15, 2017, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Steven N. Swanson Memorial Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com The son of Roland M. and June E (Weeks) Swanson, Steve was born on March 24, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Ballard High School. On August 2, 1974, he was united in marriage to Annie Plate at the Christian Reformed Church in Prairie City. Steve was a truck driver for 33 years. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes. His greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
