Nora D Brooks

Muncie- Nora Brooks, age 86 passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2017. Nora was born October 1, 1930 in Fentress County, Tennessee. She was a loving wife for 59 years to the late Obie Brooks, Mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed gardening and bowling in her early years, fishing with family, camping and going to play Bingo. She attended Selma Christ United Methodist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Linda (Rick) Griffiths, Obie Brooks Jr., Teresa Buck and Connie (Mike) Blair; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandkids; brother Shellie (Elizabeth) Conatser and Tommy (Sharon) Dale Conatser and sister Louise (Bobby) Huff. She is preceded in death by her parents Porter and Allie Conatser, husband Obie Brooks, son Darrell Brooks, sisters Vela Bachlor, Hessie Holland, Lola Anderson and brother Shelby Conatser. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Nora will be Monday, January 16, 2017 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Reverend Dennis Rush officiating. Burial will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
