Janice "Jan" Kay Jungling, 66, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at her home in Dumont. She was born on August 20, 1950, in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Marion and Hannah (Gersema) DeGroote.
Jan graduated from Parkersburg High School and from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. She was united in marriage to Larry Jungling on August 16, 1973, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Jan and Larry were partners in their trucking business.
She enjoyed shopping, flowers and attending her grandson's many activities. Jan was a grandmother to many of her grandson Jaden's friends. She had a love for animals, especially horses and dogs.
Jan is survived by her husband Larry Jungling of Dumont, daughter Melissa (Anthony) Bye of Dumont, grandson Jaden Mason of Dumont, twin sister Janet Junker of Parkersburg, sister Shirley (Vernon) Jansen of Wellsburg, brother Mike DeGroote (Teresa) of New Hartford, brother Butch DeGroote of Parkersburg, sister Donna (Randy) Schrock of Denver, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers-in-law Jerry Junker and Ronald Jungling.[more]
