He was born August 8, 1928 in Niagra Falls, New York to Martin and Agnes Walezak Kogut. He moved to the Englewood area 20 years ago from Bayport, New York. He was a retired Union Delegate for Local #342 A.F.L.-C.I.O. for 20 years in New York. He was a member of the Englewood Elks Lodge #2378 and a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Joan M. Kogut of Englewood; his son Paul of Bayport, New York; 3 daughters, Linda Crochiere of Central Islip, New York, Genevieve Kogut of Tampa, Florida, Diane Martinez of Colorado; a step-daughter, Kim Seely of Minneapolis, Minnesota and 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel. Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
