She was born February 14, 1920 in Chelsea, Massachusetts. She moved to the Venice area 23 years ago from Stoneham, Massachusetts. She was a Telephone Operator for New Englewood Telephone Company. She was a veteran and Chief Yeoman with the United States Coast Guard. She was a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of St. Raphaels Catholic Church of Englewood. She was an avid world traveler and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Joseph F. McCluskey of Venice; 2 sons, Richard of Annapolis, Maryland and Steven of Alfred, Maine; 4 daughters, Maureen Gates of Lakeville, Massachusetts, Joan Brown of Englewood, Florida, Eleanor Marino of Atkinson, New Hampshire and Patricia Rosanio of Mathuen, Massachusetts; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
