Carlton W. Young
Carlton W. Young, 87, of Pt Charlotte, FL died August 28, 2007. He was born April 27, 1920 in Savannah, GA. Mr. Young was a B-29 pilot during WWII, serving in the Army Air Corp. He was proud to have flown 26 missions over Japan. He was an accomplished salesman, and was self employed in the retail fastener business. Mr. Young moved to Pt Charlotte in the 1980s from Port Clinton, OH. He was a member of the O.H Perry Masonic Lodge #0341 in Port Clinton, OH, the Shriners Zenobia Temple in Toledo, OH and the Cape Coral Elks Lodge #2596.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Young of Pt Charlotte, FL; son, Walter Young; step-children, William Coles, Linda Casey and Thomas Coles; grandchildren, Dorothy, Deborah, Christopher, Brian, Jessica and Stephanie; 7 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service with Masonic Rites will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, Sept 4, 2007 at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda with Rev Jay Mumper officiating.
