Michael A. Stafford Michael A. Stafford, 57, of Pt Charlotte, FL died Sept 7, 2007. He was born October 25, 1949 in Great Lakes, IL. He moved to this area 15 years ago from New York where he had worked as a Correctional Officer. Michael was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross, where he was the Facility's Coordinator and was a past vice president of the congregation. He was instrumental during the building of the church's Fellowship & Ministry Center, were he helped design the kitchen and acted as a liaison between the church and contractors during the final stages of construction. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 110 and the Elks. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Jill Stafford and their daughter Jennifer, both of Orlando, FL; his mother, Betty Stafford of Pt Charlotte, FL; brothers, Joel Stafford and his wife Mimi of Havelock, NC and Keith Stafford of Ft Worth, TX and a niece, Jamie Stafford of Wilmington, NC. He was pre deceased by his father, Norman Stafford in 1991.
