Vivian Hope Flanagan, 86, of Englewood, died September 10, 2007. She was born May 28, 1921 in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence and Gladys Fife Bishop.
She moved to the Englewood area in 1984 from Angola, Indiana. She had been employed by General Telephone Company in Angola as a Head Cashier before retiring.
She was a member of the Independent Telephone Pioneers; a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and V.F.W. all of Angola and she was a 10 year Volunteer for TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care formerly Hospice of S.W. Florida.
She is survived by her husband James E. Green of Englewood; her daughter, Kathleen G. Patton of Ft. Myers, Florida; sons, Neil and Kirk Flanagan both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brothers, Gary Bishop of Bronson, Florida, Clarence Bud Bishop of Brownsberg, Indiana and Phillip McDaniel of Stockton, California; a sister, Nancy Post of Orange Park, Florida; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Indiana. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238.
