Jeanne R. Pfau

Jeanne R. Pfau, 86, recently of Port Charlotte, Fla. passed away on Monday, August 27th, 2007. She was born on Sept. 4th, 1920 and was a life-long resident of Evansville, graduating from Bosse High School in 1938. She married Leo Pfau on June 17, 1950 and together they owned and operated Leos Smokehouse BBQ restaurant at 3901 Broadway on the west side for almost 40 years until 1999. Jeanne enjoyed playing golf in the Fendrich Ladies Golf League and was a member of several bridge clubs with her many friends. She was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and along with her husband Leo, had been a member of the Eagles Aerie #427, Central Turners, Knights of Columbus and the VFW Post 1114. She was preceded in death by her parents Bessie Fitzsimmons and Charles Rothschild, her husband Leo and son Steve, sister Doris App and brother Jack Rothschild, and step-granddaughter Allison Rexroat.
