Stanley T. Gomiela, 85 of Port Charlotte, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007. Stanley was born on November 3, 1921 in Jamaica Queens, New York the son of John and Marianne Nowaski Gomeila. After Stanley graduated high school he joined the United States Army, where he was a seargent in the 63rd Infantry Division during WW II. Stanley worked for 20 years for the New York City Sanitaion Department, until he moved down here from Queens, New York in 1977. <br>Stanley is survived by: 5 sons; Thomas Gomiela, Stanley Jr. Gomiela, James Geralynn Gomiela, Edward Gomiela, Robert Gomiela, 3 daughters; Kathie Ray Weir, Caroline Cuomo, Barbara Driscoll, Sister; Josephine Burnett, 13 grandchildren and Kathleen M.
