Billy Robinson, 89, of North Port, FL died Saturday, January 12, 2008. He was a pilot in the Army Air Corps, after which he became a watchmaker and owned Robinsons Jewelry in Punta Gorda. He was a member of the Punta Gorda Country Club, the Eagles, the Elks and the American Legion Post 103.
He is survived by his beloved wife Nell Crossfield Robinson, and loving family; daughters Melody Naskale of North Port and Marlene Stanley Sims of Woodstock, Georgia, son Billy Robinson of Sarasota, sisters Hadgie Royalty of Louisville, Kentucky and Gladys Wathen of Salvisa, Kentucky, grandchildren, Daryl Eve Naskale, Christopher Angie Naskale, Andrew Ferah Wand and Julia Jamie LeCher; great grandchildren, Victoria and Christopher Naskale.
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12 Noon, Wednesday January 16, 2008 at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Punta Gorda chapel. A graveside service with military honors will be at 12:30 pm at Indian Springs Cemetery in Punta Gorda.
