Beloved husband of Elisabeth R. Fifield and the late Nancy P. Fifield; son of the late Charles W. Fifield, Jr. and Claire Y. Fifield; brother of the late Charles W. Fifield III; father of Captain Douglas T. Fifield and his wife Linda of Wakefield, Massachusetts and Jayne F. Knott and her husband Andrew of Upton, Massachusetts; step father of Douglas Richmond and Kathleen Richmond; 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and graduated from Lowell Textile Institute. He was owner and president of C.W. Fifield Company, serving on the Board of Directors for many years. A memorial service will be held in Gloucester, Massachusetts at a later date.
