Michael "Mike" P. Wilson of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, June 8 , 2008. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him including his loving wife Zaida, daughter Debora Fisher of Port Charlotte, son and daughter-in-law Steve and Carolyn Spinner-Wilson of Richmond, VA, five grandchildren; Sabrina and Justin Fisher, Elena, Katrina, and Marq Spinner-Wilson of Punta Gorda;brother Jack Wilson of Albany, NY and sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Bill Moseshlin of Punta Gorda, FL; best friend from childhood, Charlie Beach, of Albany, NY, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Greg. Mike was born on July 9, 1937 in Albany, NY and then South Burlington, VT, he moved to Port Charlotte in 1990 as owner of operator of Candy Cottage and Gifts for close to 5 years before starting Mike's Clean Clean which he owned and operated right up until the present. any other way. He will be sorely missed but always remembered for his kind and generous nature, his ever-present smile, his positive attitude. Mike never met a stranger, and never had a harsh word to say about anyone. Mike loved to tell stories and joke, laughter was constant presence in his life and those around him. He touched many lives and left the world a better place! A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm till 3:00 pm at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel, prior to the service, which will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2008. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers or memorials, that you honor Mike's memory by doing something special or unexpected for the ones you love and/or make a dontaion to a charity of your choice.
