Peter K. Clapp, 68, of Port Charlotte, FL died December 20, 2008. He was born January 13, 1940 in Winthrop, MA to Elmer and Katherine nee Dolan Clapp. Mr. Clapp was raised in Revere, MA and was a long time resident of Danvers, MA. He moved to Pt Charlotte, FL in 2002 from S. Effingham, NH. Before retiring in 2000, Mr. Clapp was a pipefitter, and was the owner of PK Kontrols. He served our country in the US Coast Guard. He was a lifetime member of the Peabody Elks Lodge #1409, a Past Exalted Ruler and the Ancient Order of Hibernians for 40 years. He was a member of the Pipefitters Local Union # 537 for 47 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Mike Carey of N. Reading, MA and Diane Keith Madden of Stafford, VA; grandsons, Jeffrey, Ross, Drew, Hunter and Matty; sisters, Rita Marshall of Lynn, MA and Carol Humphreys of Revere, MA. He was predeceased by his son Teddy Clapp in 1975, his wife, Caroline in 1991 and his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Plummer Home for Boys, 37 Winter Island Road, Salem, MA 01970, a cause Mr. Clapp had supported for many years.
