Fred W. Mack Sr. 90, passed away March 8, 2009 peacefully in his home after a courageous battle with bladder cancer. Fred was born in Brushton, Pennsylvania December 17, 1918. Following his service in the U.S. Army WWII he married and started his family in Oakdale, PA. He and his wife Elizabeth moved to Port Charlotte, Florida after retiring. Fred had a passion for music, dance, making friends and giving hugs. He could be seen weekly on the dance floor at the Cultural Center with his many friends. Fred taught Aqua-cise as the President of the Arthritis Interest Group for years at Fawcett Memorial Hospital Sports and Rehab. He was devoted to his faith, family and volunteer work throughout his life. He was a member of the German American Club. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth and daughter Suzanne. He is survived by his children, Fred Mack II Tracy, Letitia Dobosy Robert, Gary Mack Marie, and Jacqueline Mack Danny. Fred was the proud grandfather of Aubrey, Courtney, Danielle, and Angela. He was truly loved by his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, March 10, from 1-4 PM with services at 4:00 PM at Kays-...[more]
