Ronald E. Scribner, Sr, 62, of Punta Gorda, FL died March 10, 2009. He was born August 30, 1946 in Greenville, KY and moved to this area in 1983 from Mount Clemens, MI. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as a member of the Manchus and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Ron was a Contractor and the owner of Prestige Homes. He was a member of the American Legion Post 103, the VFW, the D.A.V- FL Chapter 154 and the Vietnam Brotherhood.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beverly Scribner, sons, Ronald Crystal Scribner Jr and Kevin Stephanie Scribner all of Punta Gorda, grandchildren, Chase, Connor, Kenzie, Ryley, Noah and Nathan, his mother, Hallie Scribner of Utica, MI; sisters, Linda Adkin of Romeo, MI and Nancy Godfrey of East Point, MI. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Scribner twin to Kevin in 1970 and his father, Kenneth Scribner.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the American Legion Post 103, 2101 Taylor Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 with the Rev Paul Russell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations have been requested for Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
