Fred Douglas McLawhorn

Fred Douglas McLawhorn 85 of Port Charlotte, Florida, died at his residence on May 19, 2009. He was born on October 18, 1923 in Ayden, North Carolina and came to this area, eight years ago from, Littleton, North Carolina. Doug greeted everyone that he met, with a welcome smile. He was a veteran of WW-II, US Marines. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Susy McLawhorn of Warrenton, Virginia; his daughter, Karen Walter Gowen of Glen Allen, Virginia; his granddaughter, Alexandra Paige McLawhorn also of Warrenton, Virginia, and his brother, Ray Rose Mary McLawhorn of Port Charlotte, Florida. Doug was preceded in death by his sister Bernice.
