He was born September 23, 1927 in Beaver Dam, Ohio to Chauncey and Lulu Doty Spallinger. He was a retired General Contractor and a member of the American Legion Post of Rotonda West, Florida. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his sons, H. Gale Monika Spallinger of Holt, Michigan and David Kandy Spallinger of Plantation, Florida; his daughters, Theresa Richard Taylor of Michigamme, Michigan, Bonnie Bill Stoner of Rotonda West, Florida and Barbara David Taylor of Los Alamos, New Mexico; his brother, Donald Spallinger of Lima, Ohio; his sister, Eloise Schick of Bluffton, Ohio and step brother, Harold Augsburger of Venice, Florida; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Dora Spallinger and his brother, Gerald. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 26, 10:00 a.m. at Cario West Cemetery, Cario, Ohio.
