He was born November 28, 1943 to Alfred and Helen Mahoney Callahan. David moved to the North Port area 5 years ago from Plantation, Florida. He was a U.S. Naval veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Jarosik of Englewood, Florida; his sons, Brian Allen of San Jose, California and Keith Allen of Port Charlotte, Florida; His sister, Helen and his brother, Daniel both of Massachusetts; 2 grandchildren, Delaney and Paige Jarosik of Englewood. He was predeceased by his wife Carol and his son, Shaun Allen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lemon Bay Funeral Home Englewood Chapel.
