James Matthew Chamberlain

James Matthew "Chef Jimmy" Chamberlain, 41, of Punta Gorda Isles, Fl., was lovingly embraced by our Lord on November 10, 2014. Formerly of Milton, Hingham, and Scituate, Massachusetts, he spent most of his working career as a renowned chef in the Boston area and for the past fifteen years in Sarasota and Charlotte County areas of Florida. Chef Jimmy was a first responder travelling with FPL after Hurricane disasters from Texas to the Eastern shore often setting up make shift cooking camps for as many as 3000 people. An avid sportsman, he loved fishing, hunting and antique automobiles. He spent many hours volunteering at the Wildlife Sanctuary and was very interested in protecting the ecology of the Peace River area. Survived by his loving parents, George and Barbara Chamberlain; his former wife, Robin E. In lieu of flowers, donations in James' memory may be made to the favorite charity of your choice. A Catholic Mass celebrated by family friend, Fr. Bryan Finerty, will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 211 W. Charlotte Ave., Punta Gorda, FL. 33950 at 11 am on Friday, November 14, 2014 with a celebration of life for family and friends at 9 am at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E.
