Alfonso S. Lloyd

Alfonso "Al" Lloyd Al Lloyd, 53, of Port Charlotte, Florida, went home to be with the Lord, December 30, 2009. He was born January 6, 1956 in Punta Gorda, Florida. Charlotte County will miss the influence he had in the lives of so many. Al is a Charlotte High School graduate, and went on to graduate from University of Central Florida with a BA in Physical Education. He served in the Charlotte County School System for 30 years as a Science teacher, Coach, and Administrator as Dean of Students. Al was a leader in the Spiritual Community of Charlotte County. He served on the Pastor's Advisory Board of Community Life Center and Maranatha Christian Fellowship. He also served as the Prayer Director of Maranatha Christian Fellowship for the past 7 years. Al was the Chaplin for the Florida International Air Show. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 27 years, Avril Lloyd; daughter, Astyn M. Lloyd; brother, Johnny "Big Lloyd" Lloyd; sisters Betty Barton, Judy Jones and Kathy Lloyd, as well as many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
