F, he had the opportunity to be the 72 nd pilot to fly the F4 Phantom Aircraft. His last tour of duty was as the Commanding Officer of Lake Mead Base close to Las Vegas, NV. This was a base which was connected with the atomic energy commission and had a top secret mission. On a personal note, Alfred loved professional sports and often during football season had two televisions tuned in to two different games at the same time, collected jokes and loved to have a fine martini. Alfred is survived by his beloved and faithful wife of 65 years, Betty; daughter, Pam, son-in-law David, granddaughters Deedre and Kelli husband Nicholas and nephew Chief Boyd. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, George and Charles. A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at the Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL at a later date.
