Elmer La Vern Jones, 73, Sarasota, formerly of Charlotte, Michigan died March 18, 2010. Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 22nd, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Shores Presbyterian Church in Sarasota. Lemn Bay Funeral Home, Englewood is in charge of cremation arrangements. Surviors include his wife, Marian of 54 years; two sons, Scott of Bradenton, FL and Steven of Englewood; two daughters, Stephanie Ward of Lilburn, GA and Shari Longo of Naples, FL; sister, Bea Wolfe of Los Angeles, CA. Elmer is also survived by his two son in laws, Chris Ward and Ricco Longo; daughter-in-law, Janet Jones; sister-in-law, Ada Rowe of Sarasota, and his four grandchildren which he loved, Ally, Briana, Aaron and Josh and nieces and nephews. He was a member and served as an Elder of Pines Shores Presbyterian Church. He was a partner of Jones & Journeau Masonary and founder of Soccer Line Sporting Goods.
