Andrew John Brown, Jr. He was born December 12, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois.
Andrew J. Brown, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, died on June 19, 2010. A memorial service will be held at Englewood Bible Church, 2:30 Saturday, June 26, 2010.
Millie, his bride, was the love he clung to until the very end. They shared 15 years, living life to the fullest, cruising to many ports. He enjoyed automobiles, sailing, oil painting and photography. Over the last year of his life he opened his heart to Christ and His grace.
Andy was born in Chicago attending Chicago Art Institute. He enlisted in the Coast Guard serving in the Pacific flying B-29s over Japan, and was among the first wave to enter Japan after their surrender. He represented Hager Potteries in Chicago and Kansas City and established Federal Wood Products before moving to Venice in 1980, where he owned New World Flowers.
Surviving with his wife, Mildred, his son and wife, Andrew and Debra Brown of Kansas City, Missouri; step daughter and step son Anthony and Nancy Fiore, 9 grand children and 10 great grandchildren. We are blessed to have been apart of his life. [more]
