ng Post in Bennett for 20 plus years until it closed and then Snyder Drug in Tipton. Marvella enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening and the wonderful visits with family and friends on her front porch. She loved her great-grandchildren, grandchildren and her four girls. Marvella was a member of Peace Church, Bennett Senior Citizens, and Lillis-Deerberg American Legion Auxiliary Post 366. Marvella is survived by her four daughters; Marlys (Phil) Young of Bristol, Illinois; Karla Martinez of Thornton, Colorado; LeaAnn (Tony) Sandoval of Bettendorf, Iowa; and Lonna (Duane) Moeller of New Liberty, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Chris (Sammie) Young, Andrew (Jessica) Young, Nicole (Jeremy) Padgett, Heather (Dave) Busse, Ian Wiley, Alicia (Nick) Roesger and Brooke Moeller, two great-grandchildren Reid and Lyla Padgett; sister, Vaneta Esbaum of Davenport, Iowa; sisters-in-law Priscilla Rixe of Tipton, Iowa; Arlene Wulf of Lowden, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. Marvella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond (October 17, 2015); brother, Harlan Rixe and son-in-law, Vic Martinez.
