WESTPORT / MADISON- Julie A. Brunner, age 81, went home to the Lord on Monday Jan. 23, 2017at Oak Park Place in Madison, WI. She was born on Feb. 22, 1935 in Waunakee, WI. the daughter of Anton and Theresa Kalscheur. She graduated from Waunakee High School in 1953. On April 25, 1957 she married the love of her life, Kenneth Brunner of Cross Plains, WI. They were married at St. John's Catholic Church in Waunakee. For many years Julie was a Bookkeeper for Leo's Hair Salons. Julie was also a member of Catholic Financial. She was a true Packer fan, loved to golf, enjoyed camping with her children, traveling to different parts of the world, traveling to Florida for the month of February, and especially spending time with her immediate and extended family. Julie had a favorite pet dog, a Pomeranian named Chester. Julie was a gentle lady who was loved and will be greatly missed. , Anita Marquart of Akron, Ohio, Beverly (Niles) Munson of Richfield, MN, brothers: Kenneth (Sally) Kalscheur of Manitowoc, Leo (Dinah) Kalscheur of McFarland, David (Marsha) Kalscheur of Lakeville, MN; five grandchildren, Rachel (Matt) Stainbrook of Minneapolis, MN, Rebecca Williams of Madison, Kayla (Damien) Thiede of Janesville, Michael Brunner of Deforest, Lauren Hoffman Brunner of Madison, and 2 great grandchildren Kitalyn and Taelyn. She is preceded in death by her parents Anton and Theresa Kalscheur; twin sister Elizabeth (Robert) Helman; brother, John Kalscheur; and beloved son, Keith (Karen) Brunner. Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017 from 9am to 11am at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee WI. A Celebration of Life in honor of Julie will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A luncheon will be served at Rex's Innkeeper, 301 N. Century Ave, in Waunakee. Burial will be held immediately after the Celebration of Life at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church Cemetery in Westport, WI for the immediate family members. The family would like to thank all the staff of Oak Park Place Memory Care Center in Madison that worked with our mom for the past year. We appreciate your caring ways and will never forget your kindness to our mother. We would also like to thank Agrace HospiceCare for their kindness and compassion.
