Cotton, age 90 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 11:42PM. Earlwas born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 17, 1926 to Theodore Cotton and Ajgie (Williams) Cotton. Earl was a Medic Sergeant in WWII serving in the United States Army in Japan from 1944-1945. He was a supervisor at Champion Paper Company for 37 years, retiring in 1987. On September 16, 1955 in Lawrenceburg, IN he married Phyllis Trent. Earl is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Cotton; his two children, Robin Johnson Candace (Jim) Yates; six grandchildren, Erin (Aaron) Yost, Kristen Goosey, Skyler Yates, Jake Yates, Lee Yates, and Savanna Yates; one great grandson, Jordan Retherford; three siblings, Paul (Kathy) Cotton, Dorothy Deal, and Thelma Lenhoff. Cotton; one brother, Bud Cotton; and one sister Ruth McLaughlin. Funeral service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum, 2421 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Bill Brantingham of First Baptist Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Fort Hamilton Hospital or Hospice of Hamilton. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Fort Hamilton Hospital and the staff at Hospice of Hamilton for their care and support.
