Pedro Valentin

Pedro Valentin, 81, also known as Peter, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Peter was born February 18,1935 to the late Pedro Valentin and Jobita Figueroa in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Peter served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him, as friends and family will attest. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Nydia, his step children and spouses, step grandchildren and spouses, step great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. Fred Hunter Funeral Home located at 2401 South University Drive, Davie, Florida 33324 will receive family and friends on Monday, February 6, 2017, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.  A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in his honor Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Saint David Catholic Church located at 3900 South University Drive, Davie, Florida 33328. Peter's final resting place will be at the South Florida National VA Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida at a later date with Army Honors presented.  Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
