He loved and cherished his family and supported all of his children and grandchildren in any ventures they pursued. Tunney was a fine husband, father, brother and he was a "rock" for friends and family and all who were fortunate to know him! He is survived by his wife Peggy of Ames; two daughters, Linda Michelle Griffen and (Travis Gregory) and Julie Ann and (Rick Taylor), both of Ames; five grandchildren, Kyle, Nate and Jordan Morrison, Daniel Griffen and Maria Taylor; two brothers, Jack Litchfield of Tennessee, and George Litchfield of Randall. He is preceded in death by his parents, Commodore and Lucille Litchfield; two brothers, Frederick Litchfield, and Donald Litchfield, and a half-brother, Robert Allen; seven sisters, Lucille Ella, Tinney Gail, Betty Jean, Viola Helen, Eleanor Mae, Eveline Mae, and Velma Katherine. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15, 2017, from 4:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care in Ames. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., February 15, 2017, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care.
