t was always on. Nina loved working outdoors when she was younger, raised a large garden, doing all the canning. She even canned the meats of the livestock they raised. She also made large amounts of jellies to share with all her family and friends. When their children were grown, Nina went to work for Henningsen Food in Malvern where she worked for 13 years until the business closed. Nina worked at Lemods, then Unitog Laundry where she worked up to the wrap out department. She retired after 29 years at the age of 79 years and 4 months. She enjoyed her many years there and all the friends she made. Nina also enjoyed her trips to Florida and Texas; the days spent driving the hill country with her family, and can't leave out eating out for all the family birthday celebrations. Nina passed away on February 22, 2017 at the Montgomery County Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 98 years, 11 months, and 2 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Leo in 1984; son Kenneth Clark and wife Lois; a sister; and a younger brother. Nina is survived by her daughter Darlene Studey and husband Larry of Red Oak, IA; six grandchildren, Debbie Stalnaker and husband Kenny of Florida, Mark Blackburn and wife Linda of Red Oak. Tammy Skokan of Mineola, IA, Terry Studey and wife Jeanne of Omaha, NE, and Michael Clark and Diane Radford of Glenwood; four great grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Radford of Glenwood, Tyler Skokan of Papillion, and Tiffany Studey of Florida; four step grandchildren, Carmen Archer, Trinia and Tony Gurney, and Dawn Nelson, all of Red Oak; three great-great grandsons; brothers, Clifford Cheney of Papillion, NE, and Charles Cheney and wife Vonda of Tabor; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
