hurch. She enjoyed playing bridge and euchre and belonged to many card clubs. She was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Lucille also was a great cook and hosted many family dinners until she was in her mid-nineties. She was known as "Grandma Lou" and the "cookie grandma". Traveling was another of her favorite things to do. Lucile and her friends went on innumerable bus trips throughout the United States. Those left to honor Lucille's memory include a daughter Connie (Don) McDonald of Maquoketa, IA, and a son Clark (Paula) Neal of Goodyear, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Jane (Russ) Long of Maquoketa, IA, Don Jay McDonald of Mantua, OH, Kimberly (Chris) Church of Cedar Park , TX, Jason (Tiffany) Neal of Magnolia, TX, and Shawn Neal of Allen TX; and 7 great-grandchildren, Andrew Long, Lucas Long, Rebecca Church, David Church, Taylor Neal, Jaden Neal, and Brady Neal. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Lynne D. McDonald. Family was very important to Lucille. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was extremely proud of them and their achievements. The family would like to thank the staff at Maquoketa Care Center for their compassionate care of our loved one.
