Ronald Edward Joly

Ronald E. Joly, age 84, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He was born on July 16, 1932 in Green Bay to the late Harold and Mildred (Kotill) Joly. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served in the Korean Conflict from 1950 until he was honorably discharged in 1954. Ron then worked as a roofer at Blindauer Sheet Metal and Roofing for 37 years. Ron built a cabin in Silver Cliff where he loved to spend time. He retired and moved to the cabin where he later worked at Matheus Lumber as a contractor. In his spare time, Ron enjoyed tinkering in his garage, cheering on the Packers and Brewers, and teaching his children new things. Ron will be greatly missed by his children, Brenda (Mike) Peterson, Barbara (Scott) Kuske, Wayne (Wanita) Joly, Linda (Bob) Kaufman, Christine (Jon DuBois) Joly, and Jolene (Jerry) Sinclair; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Joly, Thomas Joly, and Kenneth (Rita) Joly; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. will be held Friday, March 10, 2017, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions, a memorial fund has been established in Ron's name. Ron's family wishes to extend a special thank you to Unity Hospice and all those who have reached out to the family for their empathy and care during this difficult time.
