Ethel K. De La Puente

Ethel Kathleen De La Puente (nee Dunnigan), 82, passed away at her Toms River home on Friday, March 10, 2017. Born in Manhattan, Ethel raised her family in Hazlet and spent many years at Bell Labs / Lucent Technologies in Holmdel before retiring to Toms River. Ethel was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lorence De La Puente and her parents, George and Mary Helen Dunnigan. She is survived by her daughters, Karen De La Puente and Loren Heuschkel and her husband, Charles; grandchildren Megan Bizzozzaro and husband, Michael, Robert Rizzo, Lyndsay Sofield and Nicole Heuschkel; great grandchildren, Isabella and Madilyn Sofield. A dedicated wife, mother, aunt and part of a large, loud, and loving family, she will be missed by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews she leaves behind - especially her #1 goddaughter, Jacki. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
