Mollie Johnson

Mollie Louise Johnson, daughter of the late Victor and Estella Blanshan was born March 10, 1923, in the Windom Hospital. She attended Bingham Lake School and graduated from Windom School. Mollie was united in marriage to Spike Johnson in Christiana Township on December 18, 1942. Their marriage was blessed with three children. They resided and farmed in Christiana Township until they moved to Windom in 1962. Mollie was a wife and mother who loved her family dearly. Mollie was baptized, confirmed and became a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church near Bergen. She was an avid fan of High School, College, and Professional sports. She will be cheering for the Eagles Thursday night from her new home. She also enjoyed the challenge of playing games with family and friends. Last Wednesday we were blessed to celebrate her 87th birthday. Mollie died at home with Jim and Rhonda at her side. Mollie was preceded in death by her husband, Spike; parents, Victor and Estella; and brothers, Roy, Raymond, Howard, and Robert Blanshan. Also surviving are her siblings, Bonnie (Ken) Larson of Oregon, Jean (Bruce) Patton of Kansas City, Kansas, Cleo (Noran) Olson of St. James, Lenard (Valorie) Blanshan of Oregon, Jim (Loraine) Blanshan of Oregon, and Lester (Bernice) Blanshan of Alexandria.
