was never afraid to speak her mind. She also enjoyed playing cards and telling family about her time as a young girl on the familys’ Apple orchard. Family was very important to her and would always remind her children to stay in touch. Eileen LaVonne Larson, 89, of Thompson, died, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Hancock County Hospital. She is survived by her children, Dave Larson of Phoenix, AZ, Carolyn (Brian) Cassidy of Three Forks, MT and Dan Larson his fiancé Kelly Pederson and her children, Alexys Pederson, Olivia Pederson and Benjamin Pederson of Thompson; grandchildren, Robin (Laramie) Heuser of Ames, Jeremy (Mandy Mikes) Tegland of Forest City, Travis (Krista) Tegland of Forest City, Alannah Larson and Reece Larson of Thompson; great-grandchildren, Ryker, Liam, Brodan, Barrett and Bria; brother, Don Gahan of Garner; sisters, Norma (Connie) Burgardt of Britt and Geraldine Hansmeier of Crystal Lake, as well as many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll “Bud” Larson; granddaughter, Sydney Larson and a brother-in-law, Calvin Hansmeier.
