Gudrun Solvang

Gudrun "Goody" Solvang, age 87, of Manchester, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Meridian Nursing & Rehabilitation in Brick, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Solvang lived in Dumont for nearly 40 years before moving to her current address in 1996. She was a secretary and house mother at the Christian Home for Children and was an active member of her church, The Ocean County Evangelical Free Church in Lakehurst. Gudrun was predeceased by her parents, Gunnar and Christine Jensen. Surviving is her loving husband, Clifford Solvang; her daughter, Linda Lee and her husband, David; her son, Scott Solvang; grandchildren Allyson and Peter Solvang and Kristine Lee; her sister Ruth Hansen; her brother, George Jensen and his wife, Anne Marie. Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. A memorial service will be held at the Ocean County Evangelical Free Church on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 3:30 PM.
