Robert L. Palen

Robert "Bob" L. Palen, 74, of Golden Hill Drive, Kingston, died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Golden Hill Health Care Center after a lengthy illness. He was born March 28, 1937 in Kingston, and was the son of the Lewis and Mabel Palen. He was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1954, served in the NY Army Reserve, 156th Field Artillery, he loved the NY Mets and the NY Giants, he enjoyed bowling, camping and was a avid Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed watching movies, liked playing the piano and the organ. He had been in retail sales for most of his life, for many years he had been employed by Grand Union, he also had been employed by Caldor's and Prestige Cadillac Robert is survived by his loving children Robyn Palen, Kingston, Mark Palen, Kingston, Joan Aube, Vermont, Lewis Palen, Kingston, and Jerome Palen, Massachusetts, 11 grandcildren, 5 great grandchildren. He had been married to Colleen Palen, he was the father of the late Patricia Litts, and Cindy Lou Palen, an infant daughter.
