a member of the Hagues Mill Chapter of Questers, the Ambler Garden Club, St. John's Lutheran Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and a lifetime member of the Colony Club. Jean's greatest joy and pride was her family. She is survived by her two lovely daughters: Martha Lee VanKouwenberg of Wyomissing, PA and Beverly Jefferson of Medina, WA; her son-in-law Don Jefferson; four grandchildren: Beverly Jean (VanKouwenberg) Houck, Bradley Jefferson, Matthew Nester VanKouwenberg, Alexandra Mickel Jefferson; and 6 great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Benjamin, Sabina, Avery, Dean and Lyla. She is also survived by her devoted sister Elaine M. (Schleicher) Trump. Jean is predeceased by her sister Dorothy (Schleicher) Fritch, brothers Harry Schleicher, JR and Richard Scholl; and her precious baby girl Nancie Jean. Jean Nester lived 98 full years of song, laughter and kindness. All are welcome to join a celebration of the life of Jean E. Nester that will be held at Gywnedd Estate on Norristown Road, Springhouse, at 10am on Friday, May 12th. A private service for the family will be held at Urban Funeral Home, Ambler.
