Lola Belle Nebitt, daughter of Jake Elmo and Florence Marie (McWilliams) Eskew, was born February 21, 1933 in Shenandoah, Iowa. Lola passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah at the age of 84.
Lola grew up in Farragut, Iowa area. She graduated from Farragut High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Nebitt on February 21, 1956 in Tarkio, Missouri. They started their lives together in Glenwood, Iowa for a few years before moving back to Farragut, Iowa in 1971.
Lola was a telephone operator, cook and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Nebitt, daughter Susan Fletcher, parents Jake and Florence Eskew and brothers Rex and Bob Eskew.
Lola is survived by her children Rebecca Elmore, Gerald Nebitt, Lisa Ilsley and George Nebitt, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother John Eskew, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Celebration of life memorial service will be held 1:30 pm, Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah.
Burial of cremains will be held at the Monroe Cemetery in Imogene, Iowa. ...[more]
