Peter & Paul Cemetery KEOTA-Mary Margaret Greiner, age 87, of Keota, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington. Mary was born November 8, 1921, near Harper, Iowa, to John and Clara (Sondag) Redlinger and was valedictorian of St. Elizabeth High School class of 1940. On May 23, 1944, she married Everett F. Greiner at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper. The couple lived and farmed south of Keota. Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, the Altar and Rosary Society, T.L.S. Club and taught religion classes. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going to the casino, flowers, gardening, cooking and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Everett in 1996; grandson: Justin Greiner; son-in-law: Jim Warnke; two brothers: Alvin and James Redlinger and sister: Leola Redlinger. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota with Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries-Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in rural Harper. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota.
