Alma Von Weihe October 27, 1918 - October 24, 2009 Williamsburg, Iowa Williamsburg-Alma Emma Von Weihe was born October 27, 1918 near Williamsburg, Iowa, the daughter of John and Anna (Baack) Von Weihe. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School. Alma enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Alma died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 90 years. She is survived by six nieces and nephews: Kenneth & Lynne Von Weihe of Newhall, Donald and Bonnie Von Weihe and Betty and Dale Finley all of Williamsburg, Lloyd and Marie Schwarting of Bloomington, Rita and Douglas Borer of Wheat Ridge, Colorado and Ruby and George Hodge of Shell Knob, Missouri. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Rudolph and Elmer (her Twin) and a sister: Erna Schwarting. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Williamsburg. Pastor Richard Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
