his new wife, Bill worked for Iowa Culvert Builders for 40+ years. Bill enjoyed deer hunting with his friends, tending his large flower and vegetable gardens with his wife Karen, caring for his herd of cats, and spending time on the computer which was one of his favorite past times. He and his wife were Iowa snowbirds enjoying the warmer Texas climate in their motor home. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Leigh, two grandchildren, Riley and Madalyne, brothers Walter and Harrison, both of Sigourney, half-sisters Geraldine Shipley of Delta and Hilda Knottnorus of Washington, numerous nieces and nephews and his cats. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Frank. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church in Sigourney, with Revs. Jim Stout and Jim Bringman officiating. Burial will be at Doggett Cemetery in rural Sigourney. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Powell Funeral Home in Sigourney.
