He is preceded in death by his father, Carl, and a great grandson Calan Anderson. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Monday, September 19, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Father Joseph Roost will preside. Burial will be at the Marengo Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service, with prayer service to be held at 3:00 pm. A Memorial fund has been established for the Iowa City Hospice.
