Lloyd Leo Schropp

Conroy-Lloyd Leo Schropp was born June 3, 1928 in Johnson Coutny, Iowa. The son of Willie and Tillie (Feyerbend) Schropp. He attended rural school. Lloyd was united in marriage to Mary Colleen Duffy on June 7, 1952 at the St. Joseph Rectory in Parnell. In his early years Lloyd farmed, then drove truck until his retirement, when he then went to work for the Williamsburg Rec Center which he truly enjoyed. Lloyd enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, watching westerns, fishing hunting mushrooms, going to the grandchildren's sporting events and helping his sons with their projects. Lloyd died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City at the age of 86 years. Lincoln Schropp; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters: Shirley Meade of Holbrook and Patricia Martens of Williamsburg and a brother: Dean (Frances) Schropp of Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Willie Schropp. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 am Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
