He is survived by his wife Betty of 68 years; three sons: Gregory (Taina) Plagmann of Palm Bay, Florida, Charles Plagmann of Casselberry, Florida and Harlan (Angela) Plagmann of Peachtree City, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Brad Plagmann, Amanda Plagmann, Christine Plagmann, Kaila Plagmann-Aylor (Kyle), Cetera Plagmann, Heather Schwake-Smith and Opalynn Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Wilma Schmidt and Gretchen Cantril and a brother: Hurshel Plagmann. Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg, with Pastor Dan Jessop officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home, where there will be a VFW Service held at 7:00 pm. A memorial fund has been established for American Heart Association.
