t Class. He was awarded three Battle Stars and a Presidential Unit Citation. Mick was very proud of his service to his country. Mick worked at Stockstill's service station for 18 years and then the City of Shenandoah for 22 years, before retiring in June 1989. Even after retiring, he continued to work at City Hall for another six years. Mick enjoyed working on bicycles and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His faith was also a big part of his life. He and Jo Anne helped start the Mission Church in Sidney and later Faith Christian Fellowship Church in Shenandoah. He also helped JoAnne when she did her prison ministry and later started her own church in Shenandoah. Mick and JoAnne enjoyed 65 years of marriage before she passed November 6, 2014. Preceding Mick in death were his wife JoAnne, his parents, and all 12 of his siblings. Survivors include: his son Keith and his wife Lynette (Carnagey) of Shenandoah; four grandchildren: Brandi Perdew and husband Todd of Manilla, IA, Alyssa Haggerty and husband Conor of St. Paul, MN, Cody Johnson and friend Kristi Hoskins of Shenandoah, and Keegan Johnson of Shenandoah; three great-grandsons: Cooper and Carson Perdew of Manilla, IA, and Emerson Haggerty of St. Paul, MN; and many other relatives and friends. Celebration of life funeral service will be held 10:30 am, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Visitation with the family will be held 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Memorials will be may be directed to the family. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah with military rites provibed by Shenandoah American Legion Post 88 Color Guard.
