Community Church in Fulton, Iowa and the Jackson County Public Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She served Meals On Wheels and was a dedicated volunteer working at the Ohnward Fine Arts Center in Maquoketa. Her unwavering faith in the Lord was evident in the many years of service to her community. Years of donating her time, talent and resources were appreciated by the many she served unselfishly. Myrna loved traveling, gardening, coffee, and a glass of wine while visiting with friends. She also loved spending many hours with grandchildren and family, and exemplifying patriotism throughout her life. Myrna always believed in others and always had encouraging words. She also enjoyed many hours at her "Arizona Home" (1865 stone house in Maquoketa that she had restored). Words cannot describe how much she will be missed by so many! Those left to honor Myrna's memory include her husband Robert "Bob" Larkey of Maquoketa, IA; children, Troy (Shonna) Larkey of Great Falls, MT, Rick Larkey of New Hampton, IA, Scarlet (Craig) Dietz of Maquoketa, IA, and Robin (Paul) Krogman of Elvira, IA; 8 grandchildren, Alyssa Larkey, Levi Larkey, Danielle (Dietz) Riley, Brandi (Larkey) Tomasich, Amanda Larkey, Morgan Dietz, Montanna Krogman, and Ciera Krogman; 1 great-grandchild, Ruger Larkey; sisters, Marlene (Darrel) Hicks of Wheatland, IA, and Kathy (Lary) Becker of Maquoketa, IA; a brother, Galyn (Rhonda) Gohlmann of Grinnell, IA; and sisters-in-law, LuJean (Lud) Gocek of Nazareth, PA and Karen (Florian) Steffen of Bellevue, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild Brogan Dietz, and brothers J.C. and Merlyn Gohlmann.
