COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa - Charles Emmett Thompson, 66, of Columbus Junction, passed away of Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Premier Estates.

Charles was born on December 19, 1950, in Quincy, Illinois, the adopted son of James Bennett and Nellie Margaret Walsh Thompson. He was married to Connie Bolin and they later divorced.
He was a welder at Tyson Food Products where he had worked for 22 years. He loved to travel especially to Belize; he enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a former bull rider.
Those left to honor his memory include his twins, Kevin Thompson of Carterville, Missouri, and Kelly Thompson of Anthony, Florida; his ex-wife, Connie Bolin of Carterville, Missouri; and step-children, Melissa Hoener of Branson, Missouri, Natasha Mooney of Carl Junction, Missouri, and Charles Bolin of Joplin, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Lane Michael Thompson on August 17, 2010.
