eat enthusiasm for meeting and talking to new people, and had an incredible memory for names and faces. He had an inquisitive mind and never stopped learning new things. He had a wide and ever-increasing range of interests including fly fishing, woodworking, home-improvement projects, and participation in community theater. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Madison and president of the Brooklyn Fishermen's Club. He will be remembered for his wry, sparkling sense of humor. He was a true connoisseur of corny jokes. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 203 Wisconsin Avenue, Madison. A visitation will begin one hour prior to service at the church. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison on Monday, June 26 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Chuck's honor to Gilda's Club (a cancer support group), First United Methodist Church of Madison or any charity felt appropriate in honoring him.
